Children's Plan debated in the House of Lords

Baroness Massey of Darwen, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Children, introduced a debate on the implementation of the Children's Plan on 8 May. She called for there to be precise interim objectives within the year, particularly about placing families at the centre of integrated services. She named the emphasis on parenting and the introduction of parenting advisers in every local authority and the improved outreach for Sure Start centres as some of her highlights of the plan, saying outreach often works better than a single-site service alone.
