Evidence based measurement of parenting skills and problems
There is currently no standard way of assessing parenting – we will be developing a user-friendly instrument to allow practitioners in social services, education, child mental health and voluntary sector providers to give help where is most needed through an evidence based measurement of parenting skills and problems. It will be refined in 2008, tested and evaluated in 2009, with a report in September 2009 and final recommendations for practitioners in March 2010.
