Workforce Development

A properly skilled parenting practitioner can help to improve families' lives, and, increasingly, people working with parents are expected to have appropriate training and skills in using interventions with families that are shown to work.

Where research carried out by the Academy shows an intervention is effective, we aim to integrate those lessons into our training programme.

Whether you specialise in parenting services or come into contact with parents through your work in related fields (such as health, education or community work), we have a range of training courses available. These will help you to build on your existing skills and develop the new skills you need. Further training courses are currently being developed in close collaboration with local authorities.
